Uncompress
|
|
Before installing, you will need to uncompress (or unpack) any files with the ".zip" suffix.
If any files did not unpack automatically after the download, or if you have problems unpacking them, you can download StuffIt Expander for the Macintosh from Smith Micro: http://my.smithmicro.com
Once you have installed StuffIt Expander, you can extract the files by dragging and dropping the .zip file onto the StuffIt Expander application.
If you get an "invalid archive" error when trying to expand the file, you need to update to the most current Stuffit Expander available.

Adobe Type Manager

|
ATM (Adobe Type Manager) is required to properly display PostScript fonts on screen.

Install
|
|
1. Quit all applications.
2. Select the font suitcases and PostScript printer fonts to install. (Be sure to select both the PostScript and ScreenFont icons. Also, be sure to select the fonts themselves, not a folder containing the fonts.)
3. Drag and drop the icons directly onto the closed System Folder; not the System file.
4. Click OK to install the fonts.
(The Macintosh will tell you that it is going to put these files in their proper places.)

PostScript Printer Fonts: PostScript Type 1 outline fonts are used for printing and for screen display. In order to use the PostScript fonts, you must also install the corresponding screen fonts.

"Suitcase" Screen Fonts: Also called bitmap fonts, screen fonts are used for screen display, dot-matrix printing. The suitcase files also contain the font metrics information.
